On an attempt to score with two outs in the third inning, Kemp collided with Chirinos at home plate and knocked him over. Both players fell over then stood up and confronted each other before the pushing and shoving started.
Both benches emptied and it took several minutes for the players to be separated.
While Kemp and Chirinos could appeal the suspension, it’s not known at this time if they will file an appeal.
