The San Francisco Giants defeated the Colorado Rockies 9-5 on Sunday. The game ended with a fantastic defensive play from San Francisco catcher, Buster Posey.
With two outs and Colorado’s Trevor Story on second, Posey blocked a ball in the dirt from Hunter Strickland. The ball bounced straight in the air, high enough for Story to try to take third. Posey, though, had other ideas.

It’s easy to criticize Story for running in that spot. Down four runs in the ninth inning, he shouldn’t be taking any bases without a 100 percent assurance that he’d reach safely.
But none of that negates the fantastic agility and great throw from Posey.
