The Toronto Raptors fired Dwane Casey after getting swept in the Eastern Conference Semifinals by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Despite that brutal exit, Casey was named, along with Quin Snyder and Brad Stevens, as the three finalists for the NBA’s Coach of the Year award.

Casey was already voted as the Coach of the Year by his peers, after being fired. And if all that weren’t awkward enough, the Raptors had the nerve to congratulate the man they just fired, for all to see on Twitter.
