In somewhat shocking news this Friday, the Dallas Cowboys released All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant. He met with the team earlier in the day. Rather than being asked to take a pay cut, he was outright released. Bryant was slated to count $16.5 million against the team’s salary cap.
