New York Mets left fielder Yoenis Cespedes hit his second home run of the young season on Wednesday, continuing a red hot start. We might now know what’s been triggering it.
After Wednesday’s game, Laura Albanese of Newsday discovered that Cespedes has been using some special nail polish.
I've found the source of Yoenis Cespedes' hot start. He's wearing silver glitter nail polish on each pinky finger.

Baseball players are certainly known for their superstitions. So, don’t look for Cespedes to be changing nail polish any time soon.
In addition to his two home runs, Cespedes is hitting .278/.409/.611. He’s certainly been a key cog in the team’s 4-1 start.
