Justin Thomas is the hottest golfer in the world. But even with that in mind, he finished Sunday’s round at the WGC Mexico Championship in a completely unforeseen way.
Thomas sat in the 18th fairway in a four-way tie for the lead. But with the other three players behind him, Thomas needed a birdie to have a realistic chance. He went one better.

The shot gave Thomas a two-shot lead.
Thomas already has an impressive list of accomplishments on tour, especially for such a young player. But holing that shot out to secure a 62-64 finish is at or near the top, especially if it holds up as the winning shot.
