If we needed any more clarification regarding the reported Michael Bennett to Philadelphia Eagles trade, the Pro Bowler himself provided it on Wednesday afternoon.
Taking to Twitter, Bennett posted a photo of himself in an Eagles jersey while mentioning imprisoned Philadelphia legend Meek Mill.

Not only does this mean Bennett is officially headed to the defending champs. That would be too easy for the outspoken Bennett. It also means that he’s going to take up the Meek Mill cause. The Philadelphia-born hip-hop artist was sentenced to two-to-four years in prison last year for violating probation on multiple gun and drug charges. Current members of the Eagles have taken up the cause.
Bennett, who has continually talked out about the hot-button topics around the United States today, won’t be any different.
The three-time Pro Bowler was reportedly acquired from Seattle along with a seventh-round pick in exchange for a fifth-round pick and wide receiver Marcus Johnson on Wednesday.
