No one in their right mind can call the first half of Super Bowl LII between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots boring.
The teams combined for nearly 700 total yards of offense. New England failed miserably on this one trick play. While head coach Doug Pederson and Co. pulled off a beautiful trick play for Philadelphia to close out the first half.
When all was said and done, the underdog Eagles took a 22-12 lead into halftime. And according to Pro Football Reference, this is the first NFL game dating back to 1940 to have a game enter the midway point with that score.

Given all the NFL games played over the past 78 years, that’s some absolutely amazing stuff right there.
Despite seeing his team down by 10 at the half, NFL MVP Tom Brady threw for 276 yards through two quarters. Meanwhile, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles completed 13-of-22 passes for 215 yards heading into halftime.
