Salt-N-Pepa, Vanilla Ice to perform at Florida State spring game

Florida State has organized a postgame concert to follow the football team’s spring game on April 14, and the school is throwing it back with Salt-N-Pepa, Vanilla Ice and Rob Base.

In a release, the university announced the “I Love the 90’s Tour” will make a stop in Tallahassee.

Salt-N-Pepa won a Grammy in 1995, Vanilla Ice is best known for “Ice, Ice Baby” and Rob Base is one of two rappers behind “It Takes Two.”

An interesting subplot is how Robert Van Winkle (Vanilla Ice) wore a University of Miami sweater in the music video for his most famous song. There’s an excellent chance he’ll throw up “The U” at some point during his set to taunt the rival program.

New head coach Willie Taggart is bringing a faster tempo to the Seminoles, and the spring game will be the first time it’s on public display. It’s a safe bet he’ll push FSU’s pace that day. Push it real good.
