Fichtner has worked closely with quarterback Ben Roethelisberger. In fact, when Big Ben reportedly asked for a buffer between himself and Haley, Fichtner was said to be his choice.
Fichtner has been in the Pittsburgh organization for 11 seasons. He was the receivers coach from 2007-2009, and served as the quarterbacks coach from 2010 onward.
