Another talented Stanford player is leaving school early. Star safety Justin Reid announced Tuesday that he will forego his senior season to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft.
However, he also said he fully intends to return to school to finish his degree, which is something other underclassmen have done coming out of Stanford in the past.
I am foregoing my senior year of eligibility and am declaring for the 2018 NFL Draft. I know that I'm mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared to become a professional athlete. My education is very important to me, and I do fully intend on returning to finish my degree. pic.twitter.com/QKpeGQHR2P

Reid will likely be snatched up on Day 2 of the upcoming draft in April. He’s one of the top safeties coming out in 2018 and showed ball-hawking tendencies this past year with the Cardinal.
The junior finishes his college career with 170 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and six interceptions, five of which he hauled in this past season.
