During Monday’s Outback Bowl between Michigan and South Carolina, Michigan kicker Quinn Nordin channeled his inner Baker Mayfield with a crude celebration following a field goal.

After the game, Nordin apologized on Twitter for his actions, vowing to learn from his mistake.
In the heat of today’s game, I let my emotions get the best of me. I made an inappropriate gesture and for that I apologize. I will grow and learn from this and will work on conducting myself in a more mindful manner.

Nordin did have a big game, converting all four if his field-goal attempts and his lone extra-point attempt. However, quarterback Brandon Peters collapsed down the stretch, allowing the Gamecocks to come from behind and win in thrilling fashion.
Perhaps not coincidentally, South Carolina’s huge comeback happened after Nordin’s crotch-grab celebration. From that point on, the Gamecocks outscored Michigan 23-10 to win by the score of 26-19.
