LeBron James chose Kevin Durant with the first pick of the All-Star draft, and the Portland Trail Blazers are feeling some regret after the forward called them out.
During an interview on TNT, Durant said it “feels pretty good” to have someone finally take him No. 1 overall.
Portland passed on Durant in the 2007 NBA draft, and the Blazers’ social media team had a simple yet elegant response to his jab.

Instead of taking Durant, the Blazers selected Ohio State center Greg Oden. However, injuries derailed his career, and Oden appeared in just 82 total games for Portland.
Durant, on the other hand, headed to the Seattle SuperSonics as the No. 2 selection. The franchise moved to Oklahoma City after his Rookie of the Year campaign, and the Texas product earned seven consecutive All-Star nods with the Thunder.
He’s since joined to the Warriors, who celebrated an NBA championship in 2016-17 after Durant secured his seventh career All-NBA nod. He’s destined for an eighth honor this season thanks to averages of 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.1 blocks.
The Blazers’ social media crew is easily one of the most entertaining in the league, and this internal dig is yet another excellent reason why that’s the case.
