49ers LB Reuben Foster arrested on marijuana charges

Reuben Foster

Impressive young San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was reportedly arrested for possession of marijuana, Stephanie Taylor of The Tuscaloosa News reports.

There are no details at this point except that Foster was booked on Friday on second-degree marijuana possession and that his bond was set at $2,500.

A rookie in 2017, Foster was selected at the bottom of the first round this past April when the 49ers traded up to land him No. 31 overall. Appearing in 10 games, Foster racked up 59 solo tackles.

The 49ers recently hired Ken Norton Jr. to come in and mentor the young linebacker. It sounds like the timing there was perfect, because Foster will need some guidance going forward. He’s been in trouble before during his college days at Alabama, and he was kicked out of the NFL Scouting Combine after allegedly fighting with a hospital worker.
