We have to give New England Patriots cornerback Johnson Bademosi credit for having a flare for the dramatic. He waited until the final day of the year, but Bademosi unleashed the flop of 2017. Based on what we saw against the New York Jets, he should be in the NBA trying to draw charging calls.
The entire sequence was rather hilarious. It started when New York receiver Robby Anderson caught a ball out of bounds on the New England sideline. After getting shoved towards the bench, Anderson got up and spiked the ball in frustration. What happened next is one of the finest bits of acting that you will ever see.
Maybe the greatest flop of all time pic.twitter.com/aBBSDjnnc6

Everything about this was just perfect.
Clearly, the topper was jerking his head back, bringing it down, realizing the refs were on the sidelines, and then flopping as though he was just hit by a diesel truck.
Amazingly, it did not draw a penalty. But while he didn’t get a flag, we do think that Bademosi should get a special award at the Oscars in March.
