The Cleveland Browns didn’t waste any time in replacing executive VP Sashi Brown, who was fired earlier on Thursday.
According to this report from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the Browns have hired former Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey in the same role.
The @Browns have hired John Dorsey to become Cleveland's general manager, per league sources. He will be introduced at a press conference Friday.

Dorsey’s name was bandied about immediately after Brown was relieved of his duties. But it’s still a rather quick turnaround from firing one personnel head to hiring another.
Dorsey served as the Chiefs’ GM from 2013-16, overseeing the the selections of Pro Bowlers Marcus Peters and Travis Kelce during that span. He also helped facilitate the trade that brought Alex Smith from San Francisco to Kansas City mere months after being hired back in 2013.
