The Oakland Raiders have made a big move in an attempt to jolt a struggling defense. According to a report, they have fired defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr.

The Raiders had one of the NFL’s worst defenses a season ago. They made the playoffs on the back of an elite offense. The offense this year has struggled and the defense has gotten no better. In terms of per game averages, Oakland’s defense ranks 26th in total yards, 27th in passing yards, 17th in rushing yards, and tied for 21st in points.
While the change is big, it’s hard to call this one much of a shocker.
