Report: NFL teams believe Jim Harbaugh could be lured away from Michigan

Michigan Football

While no NFL team has yet fired its head coach, several jobs are likely to come available at season’s end, or even before that.

According to FOX’s Jay Glazer, some NFL teams believe that current Michican and former San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh “could possibly be available.”

The reports of teams being interested are not new. But Harbaugh has recently said that an NFL return doesn’t interest him.

It’s unclear if Glazer has any new information, or if Harbaugh is simply saying what he needs to say to keep his players at Michigan from worrying.

With that said, it’s easy to see why teams would be interested in Harbaugh.

While the Wolverines had a disappointing regular season in 2017, Harbaugh is 28-10 in three years at Ann Arbor and 86-37 as a college head coach.

In Harbaugh’s four years in San Francisco, he led the 49ers to three NFC Championship Games, one Super Bowl appearance, and a 44-19-1 record.
