Nearly one month after getting traded to them, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo made his debut for the San Francisco 49ers following an injury to C.J. Beathard.
Beathard was hurt in the final minutes of San Francisco’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. That brought Garoppolo into the game.

The sample size was small, but Garoppolo was effective. His first play was a four-yard scramble. Garoppolo then completed passes on each of the next two plays. The second of which was a 10-yard touchdown to Louis Murphy as time expired.

Even with the final touchdown, Seattle still won 24-13. So, the touchdown was nothing more than cosmetic. Still, it has to be a good feeling for Garoppolo and his new team.
