The Seattle Seahawks have a desperate need to improve their offensive line. As they explore every option to do it, one player they’re reportedly dangling as trade bait is tight end Jimmy Graham, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, who reports, “They’ve had talks.”
#Seahawks continue the push to trade for a veteran LT. A player they’d consider moving for cap reasons — TE Jimmy Graham. They’ve had talks.

The Seahawks acquired Graham in a trade with the New Orleans Saints back in March of 2015. Ironically, the player they gave up to make the move for the talented playmaker was an elite offensive lineman, center Max Unger.
The team’s offensive line has been slowly devolving ever since that point and is one of the worst units in the NFL these days.
Graham hasn’t quite lived up to what Seattle hoped it was getting in the trade. A devastating injury derailed his 2015 season, and he’s not managed to come close to the elite production he managed as a member of the Saints at any point in his tenure with Seattle.
None of that means Graham couldn’t still be a very nice addition to a team in need of tight end production. He’s hauled in 24 passes for 230 yard and two touchdowns this year.
Graham will be an intriguing player for teams looking to upgrade their offense down the home stretch. Any team that does trade for Graham will have to be content with a rental or be prepared to work out a new contract, as he’s set to be a free agent in 2018.
