Falcons OC Steve Sarkisian gets Wiki treatment after brutal loss to Patriots

The Atlanta Falcons got taken down hard in their Super Bowl rematch against the New England Patriots, and offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian is catching flak for his playcalling.

In fact, right after the game had concluded, his Wikipedia page had already been altered.

“On February 7, 2017, it was announced Sarkisian would be hired as the Offensive Coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons. He takes over for Kyle Shanahan. On October 22, 2017, it became obvious he is incapable of game planning for NFL competition. His jet sweep inside the 1 yard line proved his incompetency. This was also cemented with 3 straight endzone throws when only 7 yards were needed. None of which went in the direction of Julio Jones.”

It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that the Falcons were able to finally put points on the board. And that only happened because Julio Jones would not be denied. He ripped the ball out of the hands of Malcolm Butler, who had it in front of Jones on a jump ball.

This was Jones’ first red-zone touchdown of the year. Which flies in the face of what Sarkisian made clear was his big goal entering the season.

Fans are not pleased with the downturn in offensive production. The Falcons led the NFL in scoring last year, going for over 33 points per game. The past three games, all losses, Atlanta has generated a total of 41 points.
