It became apparent this past week that Kellen Moore did not have a future with the Dallas Cowboys. Young quarterback Cooper Rush was active over the veteran in Dallas’ 40-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
The Cowboys have now made it official, releasing Moore in order to make room for Blake Jarwin on the team’s 53-man roster.

Following a tremendous career at Boise State, Moore went undrafted back in 2012. He ultimately caught on with the Detroit Lions for a brief stint before heading to Dallas.
Limited with what most experts call a college-level arm, Moore started two games for the Cowboys back in 2015. That season saw him throw just four touchdowns compared to six interceptions.
It remains to be seen if Moore will latch on with another team. But given the backup quarterback problems in today’s NFL, it would not be a surprise if he did.
