WATCH: Zach Ertz makes big play on ridiculous bounce

Zach Ertz

If you have Carson Wentz or Zach Ertz in your fantasy lineup and barely win your Week 2 matchup, you can thank this truly bizarre play.

With the first half of their game against the Kansas City Chiefs winding down, the Philadelphia Eagles were pushing for a tying field goal. Wentz threw a ball that should have been intercepted or at least knocked down by Terrance Mitchell. Instead, the ball hit off of Mitchell’s hand, bounced straight in the air, and right to Ertz for one of the more bizarre catches you’ll see.

When all was said and done, it was a 53-yard reception. We also have to salute Eric Murphy for staying with the play and bringing down Wentz to save the touchdown. The Eagles lined up for a 30-yard field goal on the next play, but Jake Elliott was wide left, keeping the score at 6-3 Kansas City at halftime.
