Atlanta Hawks guard Dennis Schroder was reportedly arrested early Thursday morning on a misdemeanor battery charge in an Atlanta suburb.

Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Schroder was released on bail, and the Hawks are expected to issue a statement soon on the matter.
The 24-year-old guard is a former first-round pick by Atlanta. He appeared in 79 games last year for the Hawks, averaging 17.9 points, 6.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game. The Hawks recently signed Schroder to a four-year, $70 million contract. He’s set to earn a base salary of $15.5 million for the 2017-18 NBA season.
