Marshawn Lynch showed up. And he still got fined.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Oakland Raiders running back has been fined $12,000 for making an inappropriate hand gesture during the team’s Week 1 win over the Tennessee Titans.

At this point, Lynch might want to keep a running tab. In no way will this inappropriate hand gesture by the last fine of his first season as a member of the black and silver.
So about that whole, “I’m just here so I won’t get fined” thing?
On the field, Lynch more than proved himself capable after a one-year hiatus from the NFL. He recorded 82 yards on 19 touches and absolutely trucked 305-pound Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey.
