The Indianapolis Colts, already featuring one of the NFL’s worst offensive lines, will enter the regular season without starting center Ryan Kelly.
Kelly has been out with a foot injury, and the team hoped rest would be the cure. That hasn’t happened, however, and now he’s set to go under the knife.
They're preparing for Kelly to miss some time in regular season. No specific timeline beyond that.

The Colts are already without Kelly’s backup, Brian Schwenke, who is on the PUP list with a foot injury of his own. Needless to say, Indy is in a bad situation. A situation that doesn’t get any better when you consider Andrew Luck will be at some point coming into the lineup after missing around seven months recovering from shoulder surgery.
This news is also bad for the Colts’ running game. Frank Gore, who’s already upset about the team going backwards, is seeing his final years in the NFL wasted. Just like Luck’s prime years appear to be wasted.
