The Sacramento Kings are making some news on this here 4th of July holiday. Shortly after reportedly signing George Hill to a massive three-year contract, Sacramento has reportedly added former All-Star Zach Randolph on a two-year, $24 million deal from the Memphis Grizzlies.

Most expected the 35-year-old Randolph to join a contender in either the Western or Eastern Conference. His decision to head to a rebuilding team in California’s capital city is pretty darn surprising.

A two-time All-Star, Randolph averaged 14.1 points and 8.2 rebounds in 24.5 minutes for Memphis last season. His presence on the inside should help Willie Cauley-Stein improve after he stepped up following the DeMarcus Cousins trade back in February.
