Vince Carter is open to take less to sign with the Warriors

Vince Carter is open to signing with the Warriors.

And so it begins.

Last year saw the likes of Zaza Pachulia and David West take considerably less to chase a ring with the Golden State Warriors. Following their second title in three years, it now looks like other veterans might come flocking to the Warriors.

Appearing on ESPN’s The Jump, future Hall of Fame guard Vince Carter indicated that he’s willing to take less to sign with the defending champs.

To be clear, this doesn’t mean that Golden State would be interested in adding Carter to the mix. Though, he would surely fit the mold of a rotational depth player to go with the team’s four All-Stars and two MVPs.

This past season saw the 40-year-old Carter put up 8.0 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while shooting at a 38 percent mark from three-point range for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Interestingly enough, Carter was an original first-round pick of the Warriors. They sent him packing during the 1998 NBA Draft to Toronto for Antawn Jamison.
