The Chicago Bears made two rather interesting roster moves on Thursday, releasing veteran receiver Eddie Royal and defensive tackle Will Sutton.

The soon-to-be 31-year-old Royal has been a very productive receiver when on the field throughout his NFL career. The issue for him more recently has been injuries. Royal missed a total of 14 games to injury in his two seasons with Chicago, racking up 70 receptions in the 18 games in which he did play.
A former second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2008, Royal’s best season came with Jay Cutler tossing him the rock as a rookie that year. In all, he tallied 91 receptions for 980 yards as a first-year player.
As it relates to Sutton, he has been a part-time starter for Chicago since the team made him a mid-round pick from Arizona State in 2014. He put up 60 tackles and seven passes defended in three seasons with the Bears.
