The NFL has the knack of announcing upcoming suspensions right before a holiday weekend.
So without too much surprise in timing, the NFL has officially suspended Washington Redskins linebacker Trent Murphy.
#Redskins LB Trent Murphy is suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2017 regular season for violating the NFL policy on PEDs

Previous to this report, Murphy had attempted to appeal the four-game ban in March.
Murphy is coming off the best performance of his career, tallying 46 tackles and nine sacks for the Redskins in 2016. Unfortunately for Washington, it will now have to rely on lesser players to provide a pass rush for the first quarter of the 2017 campaign.
