Nike executive George Raveling had some not-so-nice things to say about LaVar Ball recently. Comments that you probably vehemently agree or disagree with, depending on your perception of the bombastic father of Lonzo Ball, who’s about to be one of the top picks in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Wow, veteran Nike exec George Raveling on LaVar Ball: “The worst thing to happen to basketball in the last hundred years.” #sbjwcs

This comment likely caused at least a few NBA general managers to nod their heads in agreement, based on a recent report.
Responding to Raveling, Ball issued a preposterous challenge.
“Let me tell you something,” Ball said, via TMZ Sports. “I know I’m on the right step, ’cause if nothing like this happened in 100 years? Guess what … we in a new lane, baby! That Big Baller Brand about to be your competition!”
One thing we can say to Ball’s credit is that the man has no problem making sure he’s heard. Whether people will flock to vendors to buy Big Baller Brand products remains a mystery. But we’re pretty sure Nike can comfortably absorb the potential competition.
