Last year saw both the No. 1 and No. 2 picks in the draft traded relatively early in the offseason. The goal there for the two teams trading up, the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles, was to add a franchise quarterback to the mix.
While we’re not too sure if this history will repeat itself again this year, it appears that both the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers are willing to listen to offers for the top-two picks in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Fresh off news that San Francisco would entertain offers for the second pick, comes this piece of information from the Browns themselves.

Those in the situation Cleveland currently finds itself in would be dumb not to at least listen to offers. Based on the package these very same Browns received for the second pick last year, it makes sense to play the field here.
Much like the 2016 draft, there’s not necessarily a true No. 1 quarterback set to enter the league this year. Instead, there’s a group at the top looking to separate themselves at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this week.
That didn’t create hesitation for Los Angeles, who moved up to No. 1 overall for Jared Goff last spring. It also didn’t force the Eagles to look elsewhere for an answer to their quarterback quandary. Instead, the team moved up to the second spot to select Carson Wentz.
The same thing could potentially happen this year with both Cleveland and San Francisco now entertaining offers for the top-two picks in the upcoming draft.
Myles Garrett is considered the consensus No. 1 overall player in the draft. At quarterback, there’s a group of players including Clemson’s Deshaun Watson vying to be the first player at that position off the board.
