The Cleveland Browns want Terrelle Pryor back. According to a report, he’s Cleveland’s “top offseason priority” and the team is “re-doubling” its efforts to re-sign him.

Pryor’s 2016 season produced a lot of optimism for the future, something the Browns aren’t terribly familiar with.
Despite a remarkably unstable quarterback situation (and offense in general), Pryor caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns. So, it makes sense that he’s in line to get paid.
If Cleveland uses one of its first-round picks on a quarterback, having a veteran playmaking receiver can at least provide a necessary calming presence in the huddle. That’s something that whoever the Browns’ quarterback of the future is will need.
Pryor has been in the public eye for a long time, but he’ll only be 28 heading into the season. He’s the kind of player that Cleveland has too often let go elsewhere, only to watch those players make big impacts in big games (like this).
If bringing him back is indeed a top priority for the Browns, it’s a good one.
