San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has donated a lot of money to various causes throughout his career, but especially in the 2016 season. In January of 2017, his fourth installment of a pledge to donate $1 million, he donated $100,000 to four causes, which have recently been revealed.
.@kaepernick7’s latest round of $100,000 in donations goes to @blackvets, @350, @ReproRights, @chirla https://t.co/elDfnC1LWy

The soon to be free agent donated $25,000 each to Black Veterans for Social Justice, 350 Global Environmental Organization, Center for Reproductive Rights, and CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles) in January.
Certainly, some of those causes are more controversial than others. But if nothing else, Kaepernick is not phony. He’s taken strong stances and been willing to literally put his money where his mouth is.
