The infamous first logo of the Los Angeles Chargers lasted less than a week. According to a report, the team is retiring the much ridiculed and possibly trademark infringing logo.
I was told the Chargers will never use this logo again. It will go down as the shortest-lived logo in sports history. pic.twitter.com/8V5pSa12cK

Prior to being retired, this logo had been changed on multiple occasions over the span of just a few days.
From a public relations standpoint, the Chargers run in Los Angeles could not be going any worse. The team’s logo was shown on the Jumbotron at a recent Los Angeles Clippers vs. Los Angeles Lakers game in an attempt to give the two team’s fans something in common. It worked. The logo was loudly booed throughout Staples Center.
Additionally, prominent Los Angeles writers have made it clear that the team will not be welcomed with open arms.
Finding a good logo is necessary, but may be the least of this team’s problems.
