The NFL’s Twitter account was hacked on Tuesday. Whoever it was that hacked the account put it out there that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had passed away. Soon after, word spread that the account had been hacked, and we all got a good chuckle out of it.
Well, all of us except for Goodell and the league office.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the NFL has contacted the cops over the ordeal and that it is working on upping its cyber-security measures.

Now, it’s one thing to strengthen cyber-security. But it’s quite another to call in the cavalry over something like this. I mean, surely law enforcement has better things to do with its time that track down the man or woman who successfully hacked the NFL’s Twitter account, right?
Alas, the powers that be had their pants pulled down for half a second, and someone must pay.
