According to a report by Aric DiLalla of the Denver Broncos’ website, the team is scheduled to visit the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl 50 victory with President Barack Obama on Monday, June 6. Former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is expected to be in attendance as well.
Per the report, the White House released this statement regarding the ceremony.
“This visit will continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to their communities.”
The Broncos will obviously be the final team during the Obama administration to carry out the tradition.
After Monday’s festivities, it will be all back to business for the Broncos who currently have Mark Sanchez, Trevor Siemian and rookie Paxton Lynch competing for the starting quarterback job. What a far cry from the Manning era.
