The Tennessee Titans landed 2015 Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry in the second round using one of the draft picks gained in their trade with the Los Angeles Rams, who took Jared Goff No. 1 overall.
This is going to be an interesting trade to track through the next few years.
Tennessee originally had the No. 15 pick after the deal with Los Angeles but traded back up to No. 8 for offensive tackle Jack Conklin, who will presumably protect Marcus Mariota’s blind side at left tackle.
Utilizing their original second-round pick at No. 33 overall, Tennessee went to the trenches again for defensive end Kevin Dodd out of Clemson.
They then used the No. 45 overall pick, which was originally owned by the Rams, to select Henry.

Henry will be a tremendous addition to this offense as the hammer behind Mariota. He gained 2,219 yards on the ground last year playing for the national champs, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and scored 28 touchdowns.
The Titans have made a concerted effort to build up the offensive line as well to help Henry continue his success in the NFL.
With plenty of draft currency left in this year’s draft to make moves and collect talent, new general manager Jon Robinson is well on his way to earning high marks for his work in his first year.
