Less than a week after firing Randy Wittman, it appears that the Washington Wizards have a replacement at head coach.
Yahoo Sports NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks will now man the bench in D.C.

It’s a pretty big-time hire for a fledgling Wizards organization that followed up two consecutive Eastern Conference Semifinals appearances with a .500 record in 2015-16, missing out on the playoffs altogether.
Brooks, 50, has been coaching in the NBA since an initial stint as a Denver Nuggets assistant in 2003.
Brooks led Oklahoma City to the playoffs in five of his six full seasons as the team’s head coach prior to being fired following an injury-plagued 2014-15 campaign that saw the Thunder miss the playoffs despite finishing eight games over .500.
Brooks boasts a .620 career winning percentage with four 50-plus win seasons and one NBA Finals appearance.
Wojnarowski reports the deal is worth $35 million over five seasons.
The goal for Washington will now be to add a better supporting cast behind the star-studded back-court of John Wall and Bradley Beal.
