Report: Richie Incognito re-signing with Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills were able to retain guard Richie Incognito, who is set to re-sign with the team that gave him a second chance, per Tyler Dunne of The Buffalo News.

Per Incognito himself, it’s a three-year deal, and he seems awfully excited about it, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports it’ll be worth $15 million, per a source.

This is welcome news, especially because just one week ago the Bills were reportedly getting frustrated about their contract talks with Incognito, who obviously wanted to take advantage of his stellar 2015 campaign.

After his bullying scandal during Incognito’s tenure with the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo was the team that took a chance on him last spring when many others wouldn’t touch him.

Head coach Rex Ryan famously displayed poor choice of words when he said he wanted to “build a bully” in Buffalo with Incognito as a centerpiece, but what he envisioned did come to fruition.

Behind the likes of Incognito and Cordy Glenn, who also is back with Buffalo after signing his $13.7 million tender, the Bills gained 2,432 yards on the ground last year and averaged 4.8 yards per carry. Despite dealing with some injuries, running back LeSean McCoy gained 895 yards, and rookie Karlos Williams added another 517 yards and seven rushing scores.

This seems like a win-win for both sides.
