Nobody can ever accuse DeSean Jackson of having confidence issues.
The dynamic and boisterous receiver of the Washington Redskins came out with some bold words on Monday. He’s quite sure of himself and his abilities on the football field, as you can clearly see by his comments, courtesy of CSN Washington:
“I’m comfortable and confident [enough] in myself that I don’t think no one can guard me,” he said when asked how he feels about going up against talented teammate Chris Culliver. “I don’t feel no one could stop me. You could go get Darrelle Revis, Richard Sherman, whoever you want to get.”
Oh, dear Lord, this should be interesting.
Mark your calendars, everyone, because Revis will certainly have something to say about all this when the New York Jets host Washington on October 18, 2015.
Jackson is undeniably talented, but he’s not anywhere near the level of the league’s elite receivers such as A.J. Green, Dez Bryant or Calvin Johnson. There were six games last year alone in which Jackson was shut down under 50 yards receiving.
If I were a betting man, I’d take Revis to shut Jackson’s mouth for a while when the two square off in October.
Get your popcorn ready.
