As the news broke regarding the massive trade between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles that sent LeSean McCoy to Western New York, Bills running back C.J. Spiller knew his fate was sealed.
C.J. Spiller says on NFL Network the Bills called him and thanked him for his service with the team.

Spiller obviously was asked to be a guest on the NFL Network show as a member of the Buffalo Bills. However, with the news of the trade breaking, the conversation with Spiller quickly turned to his former career with the Bills. Additionally, there was speculation that the Eagles may have an interest in him to fill the gaping hole left by McCoy.
Shady leaves big shoes to fill in Philly. And it’s not known whether Spiller would be able to fill those shoes. He only rushed for 3,321 yards in five seasons for the Bills, which is less than half of what McCoy tallied in six years with Philadelphia.
As it is, Spiller will be moving on from the Bills later this month. That much is known.
