It was only a matter of time. Partway through the third quarter, Cam Newton found Ted Ginn Jr. for an 88-yard touchdown to bring the Panthers within one touchdown.
Oakland’s beleaguered pass defense had actually held the Panthers to 3-of-12 for 18 yards and a Khalil Mack pick-six (watch here) before this huge touchdown pass by Newton.

Newton’s first touchdown of the day to brought his stats up ever so slightly to give him 106 yards. Ginn, who has struggled with drops as usual this season, had two catches for 91 yards and the touchdown at this point.
After a failed two-point conversion, the Raiders were up 24-19 in the third quarter.
