Sometimes you need a little comedy in your life, especially when you are in that dark place. Right now, 49ers fans might just be in said dark place after learning the news that their team just traded something (anything) to the Jacksonville Jaguars for Gabbert. This is the collective reaction from Northern California and the NFL world.
They first took the Jonah Hill route to see if there were any viable metrics that supported the deal. Shockingly, there weren’t.
They then pulled a Costanza before telling the Twitter world how they “can’t stand ya” Mr. Gabbert.
Then came the anger that only John Goodman could best detail to us here.
Then denial
Followed by acceptance.
Here is some more perspective on the deal…
The 49ers just traded a 6th round pick for Blaine Gabbert. I have a broken VHS player to trade them if they’re interested…

So Blaine Gabbert and Anquan Boldin have the same price tag.

Niners trade for Gabbert, is Harbaugh a masochist or can he actually get Blaine Gabbert to play good too

That’s “Blaine Gabbert Was Our Future” for those who don’t know.
