It turns out, Matthew Stafford isn’t the only quarterback in the family. His wife, Kelly was in the stands observing her husband’s Los Angeles Rams take on the San Francisco 49ers Monday night when things got salty.
In a game the Rams eventually lost 31-10, the NFL quarterback Stafford went 26-of-41 for 243 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. He was also sacked twice.
Like many Rams fans, Stafford’s wife wasn’t thrilled with how the night was going and being that she was at an away game, Kelly was subject to hearing the worst of it from local observers.
Perhaps made worse by a fan sitting nearby surely heckling her and the punchless performance of the Rams’ starting quarterback, Kelly snapped and decided to throw a soft pretzel at the heckler.

There’s no word if the pretzels were making her thirsty, or if she was just extremely bothered by the idiot nearby.
Actually, she did share her reasoning, and it wasn’t because of the pretzels, or a lack of hydration in Santa Clara. It’s because she was being an “idiot”. Her words, not mine.
Still, I want to know if her throw was a spiral. Can pretzels spiral? I bet she threw the salt off that pretzel. Let’s just hope no one was hurt.
To the dismay of some, there has not been any footage uncovered of the incident from Sunday night.
Matthew and Kelly Stafford will have to wait a week to get the salt off their wounds. On a bye this Sunday, the Rams don’t play again until Week 12 when they take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
For the fans’ sake, let’s hope they have a shortage of soft pretzels in Wisconsin that day. Or, you know, the Rams could just play better. Stay tuned.
