Klay Thompson’s father: ‘No question’ he’ll re-sign with the Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are dealing with massive injuries following their NBA Finals loss to the Toronto Raptors.

The ruptured Achilles Kevin Durant suffered in Game 5 was followed by Klay Thompson going down with a torn ACL Thursday evening.

Both star players are set to hit free agency within the next couple weeks. Though, there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel for Mr. Thompson.

According to Klay’s father, Mychal, there’s no question Thompson will re-sign with the Warriors.

This should pretty much end speculation that Thompson will leave the Warriors in free agency. They are still expected to offer both Thompson and Durant max contracts in July.

For his part, Thompson was brilliant during the Finals. He averaged 26.0 points per game and shot an absurd 59 percent from three-point range.

Thompson came back into Game 6 after suffering the ACL injury to shoot two free throws. That type of Warrior-like mentality has defined his career in Golden State.

The All-Star guard is expected to miss 9-10 months as he recovers from the injury.
