Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game in Phoenix against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Betts, 28, went 1-for-3 with a double, two walks, an RBI and two runs scored while playing all nine innings of Saturday’s 9-3 win over Arizona. Chris Taylor will bat leadoff and play center field in Sunday’s series finale. Los Angeles won the first two games.
In 60 games this season, Betts is hitting .252 with eight home runs and 27 RBIs. He is a career .298 hitter.
The Dodgers are hoping to have Cody Bellinger (hamstring) and Max Muncy (oblique) back in their lineup sometime this week. Both players are rehabbing their injuries at the Dodgers’ spring training facility.
The Dodgers open a key three-game series on Monday in San Diego against the Padres.
