Nick Kyrgios pulled out of the French Open on Tuesday as he continues his recovery from knee surgery, multiple entities reported.
Kyrgios, 28, was hopeful of making his return at the Grand Slam event, but his surgically repaired left knee still isn’t ready for competition.
Kyrgios underwent arthroscopic surgery four months ago with the initial timetable being that he would miss three to four weeks.
The injury forced Kyrgios to miss the Australian Open in his homeland. Now he will miss the year’s second Grand Slam event, too.
Kyrgios, ranked 26th in the ATP rankings, has never won a Grand Slam title but reached the 2022 Wimbledon final, losing to Novak Djokovic in four sets.
He was won seven career singles crowns.
