Cobb, selected in the second round of the 2011 draft, has put up a total of 3,049 yards and scored 25 touchdowns over his four years in Green Bay. He is coming off of a stellar season in 2014 where he tallied a career-high 1,287 receiving yards and scored 12 touchdowns.
By re-signing Cobb, the Packers will retain one of the most powerful receiving duos in the NFL, making Aaron Rodgers and company sure-fire Super Bowl contenders moving forward.
Together with Jordy Nelson last season, Green Bay’s starting receivers totaled over 2,800 total yards and 25 touchdowns.
It’s a surprising move considering Cobb’s market would have been rather extensive when free agency starts on Tuesday.
Green Bay got a steal here at $10 million per season.
