Boone Jenner collected a goal and an assist and Joonas Korpisalo made 22 saves to fuel the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets to a 3-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Thursday.

Oliver Bjorkstrand and Eric Robinson each tallied early in the third period for the Blue Jackets, who have won two in a row following an 0-4-1 skid.

Defenseman Miro Heiskanen scored from the point at 7:35 into the third period to halt Dallas’ goalless streak at 189 minutes, 46 seconds. The goal was the Stars’ first since captain Jamie Benn scored at 17:49 of the second period in a 3-2 loss at the Florida Panthers on Feb. 25.

Jason Robertson scored from the doorstep midway through the third period and Anton Khudobin turned aside 19 shots for Dallas, which fell for the 10th time in 11 games (1-7-3).

Jenner used a brilliant individual effort to open the scoring with 1:49 remaining in the second period. He beat defenseman Andrej Sekera to a loose puck in the corner, skated out from behind the goal line and swept a shot between the pads of Khudobin. The goal was Jenner’s eighth of the season and second in as many games.

Bjorkstrand benefited from a gift-wrapped turnover to double the advantage at 2:23 of the third period. Dallas’ Joel Kiviranta’s gaffe in the defensive end set the stage for Bjorkstrand, who beat Khudobin for his seventh goal of the season.

Columbus claimed a 3-0 lead at 4:05 of the third period after the puck deflected off the skate of Robinson and into the net. The goal was Robinson’s fourth of the season and first since Feb. 18.

Jenner nearly snapped a scoreless tie early in the second period after his deflection of a shot from captain Nick Foligno caromed off the post.

The Blue Jackets also prevented a goal at the other end, with Columbus native Jack Roslovic tipping a loose puck away from Kiviranta at close range.

Columbus’ Max Domi registered three shots on goal while playing in his 400th career game.
